Entertaiment can be defined as the act of providing amusement or enjoyment.

Many entertainments are purely leisure, but other entertainments can have a more extreme purpose, such as in the various styles of rite, party, non secular pageant or satire. Some entertainments are capable of crossing over into other mediums, which has demonstrated the ability for creative remix that seems to ensure the continuity and longevity of some themes and images.

Some forms of entertainment have shown to be very effective, because they hit on the points that the human brain was evolved to react deeply to in order to function in a social world. This includes things like backstabbing, murders and other themes that have been used in entertainment for generations.
